My family are avid hunters. For my son, in particular, there is no better way to spend a fall day; and for my husband hunting is the best time to bond with his son and daughter. I have held my own and at one time did garner some bragging rights worthy of a photo of my buck right in the back of the pick-up.
It reminds me of how central hunting and firearms are to our life in the Midwest and how important the Second Amendment is to our freedom. Freedom to bear arms, to hunt and to protect ourselves, our livestock and our families.
Eliminating guns will not solve our crime problems nor end gun-related fatalities. I will advocate for protecting and preserving Constitutional rights, including the Second Amendment.
