This is my family.
They weren’t especially thrilled when I insisted on family photos on a brisk March morning. But they smiled through it anyway because they love and support me, and I’m grateful every day for them.
This is my grandpa’s barn — a place filled with some of my favorite childhood memories.
I remember playing hide-and-seek with my cousins in the dark, swinging from the branches of the big weeping willow tree, making mud pies in an old play kitchen tucked deep in the trees, sharing family meals, and learning many of life’s important lessons along the way.
As a mom, those memories matter even more to me now.
Every child deserves the chance to grow up surrounded by love, stability, faith, opportunity, and the simple joys of being a kid. Every family deserves communities that are safe, strong, and rooted in values that help children thrive.
When I think about the future we’re building in South Dakota, I think about my own children — and yours too.
I want our kids to inherit communities where families are supported, education is strong, values still matter, and hard work can still build a good life. A future where young families can put down roots, find opportunity, and feel confident about the road ahead.
That’s the heart of why I serve.
I would be grateful for your vote on June 2.
